Baby, I'm a dreamer for sure.

Because my brain never rests, I have a couple dreams I can share with you.

DREAM 1:

Those who know me can testify to this fact: I have never let alcohol touch my tongue. So of course it can be a temptation every now and then. What strikes me as odd is that in my dreams, when I do partake in adult beverages, I go out of control. In this particular dream, I did just that; the effects of alcohol, even in dream land, turn out to be very odd and unholy.

Also, you need to know that the night before this dream, I had a Twitter conversation with Lo. BREAKING DAWN SPOILER ALERT: We were quoting Jacob and Renesme like they were discussing their relationship after she grew up. Jacob, of course, imprinted on Edward and Bella's daughter, which means he is tied to her in a complicated way. But in essence, he is going to eventually fall in love with and marry this girl. When she grows up, duh. But he imprints on her as a baby, meaning he knows when she is born that this is who he wants to spend the rest of his life with.. That makes it weird. Our conversation was quite humorous.

Anyway, without further ado...

I was in what seemed to be not quite a church, not quite a house, but somewhere in the middle. I started out laying down on a pallet of blankets with a new, unopened bottle of vodka at my side. I screwed off the top and downed half of the bottle before sitting up right. As I felt the liquid poison my bloodstream, I stood up and walked out of the door. I found my friend Bubba. He told me his body was dying but that he could live on in a different body. So, he was somehow transferred to this 3 or 4 year old body. He could still talk, walk, think, etc. like he could as an adult, he just has to grow up again physically. I got one of those child carriers that you wear like a backpack, but on your front, and put him in it. I was walking around talking to him, and in my mind, I decided this is what it was like to imprint on a child. I decided it was completely sane.

As we were walking and talking, we ran into Will and Joseph. (They and Doug were really in Israel at the time.) I asked why they hadn't left for Israel yet. They told me they were going in a couple of days, when Doug was finished with his first three days of stuff. And then I had to explain to them about the Bubba child that was strapped to my chest. Quite embarrassing and hard to explain if I do say so myself. They were weirded out.

DREAM 2:

This dream really has no explanation. I haven't the slightest idea why I would have such a dream...

I was again, at a church, Christian Heritage to be exact. I was outside the Family Life Center under the awning when I ran into Tiffany Groves. Like a normal human being, I stopped to ask her how she was. She asked if I had heard about Daniel (her husband). I told her I had not and asked if he was okay. Tiffany told me that he was in a coma! I was shocked and trying to be sensitive, but I had to find out more details. I asked how it happened and she told me that he drank an energy called Ultimate Rockstar. This brand has six times the amount of sugar as a normal can of any energy drink. As soon as he finished it, he passed out in the coma and has not come back since. I asked her how long ago this happened and she told me he has been in a coma for six months. It was then that I noticed the dark circles under her eyes and the paleness of her skin. She had been running ragged for those six months. It was terribly sad. And really weird.

I also recently had a lucid dream. (You know, when the dreamer can directly control what happens.) I don't really want to share the details of that dream, but I want to tell you how you can have one too... it really works! Bubba and I actually watched a YouTube video about how to do it. The video gives extensive ways to help you be able to manipulate your dreams; I only used one of the tips. I set my alarm, woke up about thirty minutes earlier than usual, and turned the alarm off so I could fall back asleep. As I was drifting off again, I kept repeating in my head "I will have a lucid dream. I will have a lucid dream." until I fell asleep. As soon as the dream started, I knew I was in the dream world and had complete control. It was so much fun to be able to do that! And even though I knew it was a dream, I could still sense things around me as if it was real, like I can when the dream isn't lucid. It actually felt more real than any other dream, if that is even possible. But maybe that was just because of the events... of what I wanted to happen. I can tell you it was a bummer to have to wake up. I was quite enjoying myself.

I haven't tried it since, but I think I will soon.

Recurring dream.

I don't know what it is with my subconscious, but I have some of the most disturbing dreams. What's worse is that this particular dream occurred last night for the third time. You know, after the first time a disturbing dream happens, I think to myself I don't ever want to have that dream or a dream like it again. Sadly, I can not control my subconscious or the dream itself no matter how hard I try. It's awful. Anyway, here it goes:

In my dream, I lived back in SC in my old house. I was of a preteen age and Cody just happened to be around 5 or 6 (not our normal age difference). Cody and a little girl friend he had visited this elderly couple almost everyday in our neighborhood. The couple would feed them treats. I could feel in the dream my uneasiness towards that house every time I passed it. The particular day of the dream, Cody and his friend were over there and I told my mom that I just didn't like it anymore and that I was going to get them.

As I walked nearer to the front door, all sorts of bad feelings flooded my body. I heard Cody and his friend talking to the man around the back of the house. The man started to usher the kids inside so I asked if I could join them. The man looked to the window and gave his wife a suspicious expression at my request, but in the end, he invited me inside.

The lady sat us down at their kitchen table and handed us each a plate of - well, I'm not quite sure what it was. I didn't eat any of it. Anyway, the man pulled the lady from the room and that is when my nightmare had been confirmed. Cody and his friend whispered to me that after they eat what was prepared, they would have to go into a room and the couple would do things to them. (I will spare you the details.) The kids were always told that if they tell anyone, bad things would happen and that had to keep coming back or those same bad things would happen.

At that moment, I grabbed them both by the arm and we ran out the side door. As I looked around, I saw Brandy and Mom getting ready to walk to the front door so I called them to where we were. Luckily, the couple did not return to the kitchen to see that we had fled. Instead, I heard the back door open and we ran as fast as we could to the only thing we could hide behind - this "wall" of windows. There was a small amount of wood covering the bottom area of the wall, so if we layed still enough on the ground, it could have possibly hidden us. Brandy had Cody wedged under her and I had the girl. We told them they had to be really still and quiet until I told them to get up.

I would peek through a window every few seconds to view the situation. The man was out back smoking a cigarette when the lady yelled to him that we were gone. They frantically searched the area and eventually concluded that we were long gone and then, he noticed the top of my head as I peeked for the last time. He started running at us, yelling in a deep, low voice and his face contorting into the scariest face possible...

Then, my body jerks itself awake.

Asterisk.

For the past (almost) two weeks, I have had the sense of forgotten homework looming over me like a cloud. I attribute this feeling to my lack of blog posting. So, here I am righting the wrong and contributing what little I can to the blogosphere.

It seems I have also forgotten the correct way in which to compose myself on here. Would you mind terribly if I just jot down a few ramblings that are bouncing around in my head?* Hey, thanks! You guys are super cool.

1. Today is Day 10 of no soft drinks, meaning Day 10 of headaches. I could have ended the strand of headaches if I had given up caffeine completely, but I did have a Starbucks drink or two.** Besides the headaches, there is no change in how I feel (energy wise or other).*** ...maybe as time progresses.

2. Speaking of things that are no more, Newbie - who was hired sometime in January - has left us. Last Thursday, she spoke with Dr. M just as she arrived to work and Newbie explained to her that she took another job and was starting Monday. She then asked Dr. M if she could go ahead and leave (we had a waiting room full of patients and a full schedule). Dr. M asked her if she could at least work through the end of the following day, seeing as we were going to be pretty busy. Reluctantly, Newbie agreed. Who does that?! Newbie claims her new place of employment would not let her give a two weeks notice, but I highly doubt that. So now, there are two techs working here, covering a three-tech job. We're in the process of looking for a new hire, but no one has applied yet.

This whole situation is just plain wrong. It's infuriating.

3. On the bright side of my current job situation, on May 1st I was given a raise and another week of vacation days to add to what I already had. That day marked 3 full years that I have been employed by Dr. M.

4. I have completed Midnight Sun for what I would say is the 11th time. It is the book of Twilight through Edward's eyes and thoughts. It is by far, my favorite of the series, even though it has not been finished. Every time I read it, I wish desperately that Stephenie Meyer has finished it as a surprise to her readers. Sadly, it always ends the same: abrupt and incomplete. I am still crossing my fingers that it will one day be finished.

5. Oh, goodness! I should have mentioned this first. I finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! (Don't worry, there aren't any spoilers in this.) Up until about a month ago, I was decided that I wanted to see the movie before I read it, as I have done with all of the others, but I have already had several key points in the final book spoiled for me and I wasn't going to let that happen anymore. I wanted to find out everything for myself. Guys, seriously. Shock and awe overwhelmed me as I read. You won't believe it until you see/read it! I am so glad I decided to read it before the last installment of the movie series came out! I wish I could say more, but I shall wait until the final movie is released. To be continued...

6. Speaking of the July release of HP7 Part 2, my siblings and I have planned our vacation around this important and historical event!**** I am so ready for July 13th so I can have all of my siblings under one roof for a whole week. I miss them so.

7. I'm sorry, but I have yet another book to talk about: Heaven is for Real. There is no way to convey in written word how much I loved this book. Colton has an amazing story to share. His description of Jesus gave me chills and brought forth tears. I am so excited to have this kind of Heaven, this kind of God, waiting on me. I recommend this book to any breathing person.

8. Before I started this post, I made a rather short list of things to write about and have been striking out each topic as I have finished its rather short paragraph. When I finished the list, another topic popped into my head; I wrote it on the list just so I could mark it off, and have since done it three more times. #obsessivelistmaker

9. I've been pondering on people's reaction to the weather. Every time it rains, patients, coworkers, etc. will makes comments about how "nasty" it is outside. I just don't understand that opinion. I can't help but see the beauty in it when it rains. It really is one of God's prettiest creations to me. I mean, look at the clouds: a deep charcoal mass replenishing the dry earth; water falling from the sky with a purpose; the cooling effect of precipitation; the life sustaining effect on plants; the beauty of lightening that accompanies it; the glorious roar of thunder that follows; the wonderful smell it leaves behind. What is so "nasty" about that?

10. My dreams have recently taken a drastic change. It's not always that there is a love interest in them, but if there is, it is usually the same person, for whatever reason. Lately, though, the love interest in my dreams has changed to a completely (and surprisingly) different person. The only thing I can deduce from this is that "times are-a-changin'"...

Inspirational Text #6:
Psalm 144:5-6 Bow thy heavens, O Lord, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.

It's not just our heritage and the oxgoad on our side, we have the almighty God with us. We are his lightning and we are his arrows. We will leave a path of destruction for our Lord.

---

Inspirationl Text #7:
Tonight men, we face our greatest obstacle yet, those who have disgraced us and our father, but they have made a costly mistake, they stepped on our field. So tonight we make them pay, just like the "Judges" we have descended from.

---

This is my favorite from this season so far! Cody's team was going up against the other team from their church. Brilliant text.

Inspiration Text #8:
They may share our name but never have we faced an enemy bigger than this. Tonight, sons, we are without a weakness. They were our brothers but when they chose to oppose us, they chose destruction. Show them no mercy, for you shall recive none.

*Clearly, this is the assumed response: "Of course not, Cassie, jot away."
**Sir Jacqués Paúl explained that weaning myself off of caffeine is far worse than quitting cold turkey, hence the headaches.

Nightmare on Browndale Lane.

As you can see from my previous posts this weekend, I have reached the point in BEDA (Blog Every Day in April) where there is vastly less to talk about and everything turns to crap. I've been racking my brain for things to talk about and waiting for something interesting to happen. I suppose last night's nightmare will suffice. Is it normal to have a nightmare every week or two? I feel like that is an unusual number... but that is how often it happens to me. I don't like it.

Most of the time when I have a nightmare, I can tell it is a dream and I try to wake myself up, but last night I had no clue it was fake and that I was really asleep. I think that added to the scare factor.

The antagonist of this story happens to be a friend I've had for years, and although it was a dream and I know she would never do such a thing, I am going to change her name for the sake of the story. Let's call her Carrie... "scary Carrie". (Her two little horrible helpers were her mom and another friend, so we'll call them Mary and Sherry, respectively. I like that they rhyme. :P)

The protagonists are Ashley, Jacob, and myself. There are appearances of other people I know, I will name them when the time comes.

The setting is an old, delapidated building in the middle of no where (I know, right? Who would have guessed?). It was a place where we liked to hang out, I suppose.

It started out as a normal, sunny day -- Ash, Jake, and I were in our favorite room of the building. We, along with others who use the place, filled a few of the rooms with what furniture we could spare. In this room, we had a mattress, couch, and a TV/DVD player combo. Most of the doors in the building were heavy and hard to close, and the doorknobs hard to twist.

Someone stood in the doorway of our room and told us that we were needed outside. We turned left and walked down the hallway to the double glass doors that lead outside into the parking lot. As we walked out of the doors Carrie, with a gun in her right hand and a knife in her left, told us to follow her. She had glassy eyes and a voice not her own... she was demon possessed. We were flanked by her mother Mary and friend Sherry, who were also armed, but didn't seem to be possessed, just helping. We were forced to get into the Jeep in front of us.

Jacob was made to sit behind the steering wheel while Carrie pointed a gun to his head and demanded, "Drive." Luckily, I had my cell phone in my pocket, so I started to text Cody but all I could write was "HELP!" before Carrie noticed so I sent it as it was. My phone was quickly taken, and Carrie dropped her gun in the floor by my feet as she snatched it. I quickly calculated how fast I could grab it and turn on her, but she was quicker. She held the knife to my throat. "Don't. Move. One. Inch," she threatened.

Somehow, the car stalled and died shortly after we started driving. Frustrated, Carrie ordered that we be taken back inside and they would "just have to do it here." A gut-wrenching feeling in my stomach told me we were to be tortured... because of me. Because I am the only one Carrie knows. If it had just been Ash and Jake that day, they would be safe. Their forthcoming death was my fault, and I didn't even know why this was happening.

As we were being rushed back inside, and Carrie's helpers grabbing what they needed from their truck of torture, I turned and knocked Carrie to the ground and yelled, "RUN!" to my sister and her boyfriend. I quickly followed suit and slammed the door to our favorite room behind me.

We sat in the room, waiting for what was inevitably going to happen next but the hallway remained silent. They were either devising a plan or getting things ready. I decided to creep around the building and find out what was going on.

As I left the room, leaving Ash and Jake behind, I caught a glimpse of Cody, Noah, Austin and CJ. I ran over to them and told them exactly what happened, but they didn't believe me. They thought it was a joke. I had to prove it to them.

As I peered around the wall we were behind, Carrie and her loyal band of followers spotted me and broke out in a run in my direction. They cornered me back into that same room with Ash and Jake. Cody and they guys realized I was telling the truth and got out of there without a problem. After all, Carrie wanted me.

With Ash freaking out and Jake trying to console her, I not only locked the door but used myself as an extra force holding the door closed. As the pounding on the door began, the sun started to go down. Light was becoming scarce so we had to quickly form a plan. I resolved to trying to open the window that has been sealed up tight for years, but it was our only hope. The window led out to a very small square space. This space had three - about 8 foot tall - walls of concrete surrounding it. If we could get up and out of the space, we would be on the ground in a little grassy area between the buildings.

As I began to strain myself to get that window open, it was lifted away by someone on top of the wall. For a moment, it frightened me, thinking it was Carrie, but it turned out to be my Pawpaw. Ecstatic, he lifted me out of the hole. In the distance, I saw Myrna get out of his truck and motion for us to hurry. I told Pawpaw to go ahead and that I would get them out of the hole. As I pulled Ash and Jake up, Carrie and the girls heard all of the commotion and ran full force with weapons in hand at Pawpaw's truck. I yelled towards him to get himself and Myrna out of there and that we would be alright. He sped off to keep her safe.

Ash, Jake, and I hid nearby as the girls searched the grassy opening. They noticed where we escaped and were not going to back down any time soon, so we did what we had to do.

We came out of hiding, ready to fight without a weapon in hand. The crazed look in Carrie's eye chilled me to the bone. They attacked me all at once, beating me with the barrel of a shotgun and taking a staple gun to my skin. With Jake's help, we disoriented them for a moment, long enough for us to get to a door across the way.

We ran up a staircase that was nearby and took to the third floor. Quiet as mice, we tiptoed to an open room that overlooked the yard where we had just been. The girls were gone.

After a few moments, Mary and Sherry came back out dragging some kind of table with Carrie on top of it. With a nail gun in hand, Mary yelled, "Cassie! I know you're watching right now... and if you come out, I will let you do this to Carrie..." Then she laid Carrie's arm down and put three nails through three spots on her right arm. It was live bait. They wanted me out of hiding and thought this would do it.

It worked.

I stormed out of the building, leaving Ash and Jake in the dust. The shrieking laughter of all three of these evil beings sent chills down my spine, but I wasn't backing down.

With careful eyes and shaking hands, I crept towards what was sure to be a trick. Sherry now had the nail gun in her outstretched arm, pointing at me. I dodged her aim and reached to grab the nail gun and she sent a nail straight through my left hand right before I took control of it.

I turned it around and pointed it at Sherry, just as Ash and Jake caught up with me. Instantly Mary and Sherry coward back and leapt into a run. We ran after them a little ways before we turned to make our way back to Carrie.

When we reached that table, she was gone. We started towards the way out of the grassy area, but were blocked by a large steel gate.

Overwhelmed with the feeling of defeat, I sank down and started to cry, telling Ash and Jake, "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry.... I don't know how to get us out." I felt guilty for the life threatening position I had them in. I just couldn't win Carrie's game.

Minutes later, Carrie came running out of a nearby door with her eyes deadset on mine. It was like staring down Satan. She ran at me, with blood dripping from her arm and deep cuts all over her face. Jake tackled her to the ground and I held that nail gun to her head, my finger on the trigger.

"Do it!" he yelled.

Carrie looked up at me and in one brief moment, she was herself again. She was the girl I had been friends with for so many years. I couldn't bring myself to do it, I couldn't kill her.

I dropped the nail gun to the ground. Jake quickly picked it up and held it to her head. Before he had the chance to pull the trigger, we heard a continuous scream getting closer and closer... it was Sherry running towards us with a long, metal pipe raised above her head and screaming like a banshee...

Dream a little dream of me.

Let's see, since I last posted, I have gone to Murfreesboro to visit one of my best friends, he has come home for a weekend, I have only bought two Christmas presents, and I still haven't painted the canvases I bought in mid-November.

Wow, 12 days has been reduced to one long sentence. I need to be more productive with my time. A new project, maybe? I suppose I could finish the one I haven't touched since November... but I don't know if it's worth continuing.

---

I suppose I can entertain you with this...

The dreams I have at night are so vivid. It's like I am watching a movie. Most of the time, they are all kinds of crazy. Off the wall crazy. And completely random. Want proof? Here are some of the dreams I have had in the past week or so:

1. I was on the Hogwarts Express with all of my real friends; apparently I was the Harry Potter type character in this scenario, but I was still myself. We were on the way to Hogwarts for the start of another term. All of a sudden, the train was being attacked by Death Eaters... they were after me. My friends and I pulled out our wands and began defensive spells against what the Death Eaters were trying to do to us.  Cody yelled for me to run because there was an opening for an escape. As I was running towards the door, Bellatrix appeared and blocked my way. I attacked her before she could attack me and the spell I cast left her lying still on the floor. I turned to my right and there was another Death Eater with a mask on. As I start to cast a spell, the Death Eater spoke up and told me to stop... it was Bubba's voice. He told me he used polyjuice potion to become one of them so he could help protect me from the rest of the Death Eaters. What a smart guy. As I hurried towards the escape door, I turned to look at what I was leaving behind: a train car full of my friends risking their lives to protect me. The battle was brutal.

2. I was out Christmas shopping with Cody, Ash, and Mom at a mall. We were in what seemed like Aeropostale when these two girls came in and started looking around. They seemed smitten with Cody. Go figure. They were kind of keeping their eye on him so I told him about it and dared him to go talk to them. And, of course, he did. After a few minutes, he came back over to me and brought the two girls along. One of them happened to be Sarah Palin's sixteen year old daughter, Willow. So, naturally, her and Cody started dating and over time, Sarah invited us to go to a beach house that they owned in Florida. We went and were sitting on the beach at night when I got Cody alone and we started talking. Here is our conversation:
Me: "Cody, this is awesome! I am so glad you are dating Willow."
Cody: "Yeah, I don't know if I want to anymore, though."
Me: "Why not? I love her!"
Cody: "She is getting kind of annoying."
Me: "Cody, don't break up with her yet! We could go to Alaska!!"
And that is all I cared about.

3. I started out sitting around a table outside of a cafe in the middle of a discussion with three other people. Though, I wasn't saying much, just observing really. These three men were talking about exorcisms and how each of them performed one. Two of the men had only subtle differences between their process. The third man didn't seem too confident in his process but he swore up and down that he could do it. Someone walking by stopped and turned towards him. In a scary, demonic voice the passerby challenged him to do it. On himself. Whoever this passerby was had been possessed. The third man agreed in a shaky voice to perform the exorcism. Somehow, I was volunteered to be in the room with the third man and the possessed man. We walked into an old building and down a dark stairway. As we walked into the poorly lit room, the third man locked the door behind us. The only light we had was from a single light bulb hanging down in the center of the cold, damp room. The third man and I stood near a wall opposing the possessed man. He had his Bible in hand and began shaking, as did I. The possessed man began to taunt us and call the third man names, telling him there was no way he would be able to make him come out of this man's body. The third man started his process but was getting nowhere. As he kept trying, the possessed man kept looking more and more like a demon. There really is no other way to describe it. It was scary. The third man pulled out a camera and told me he needed to take a picture of this for some reason. As he put the camera up to his right eye, he covered the left eye with his hand. I asked him why he was doing that, and he said "You'll see." I closed my eyes, scared for my life and opened them again when I heard the man beside me yell. I looked at his face and not only was his right eye blood red, but he had a long, red slash mark from the top center of his forehead down to his neck. He had been badly burned when he took that picture. I turned to look at the possessed man and saw bright red, glowing eyes looking directly at me, like he was trying to see in my soul.

I woke up after that last part and had to go sleep in my roommate's bed with her because I was that scared. It seemed so real.

I don't much feel like typing anymore dreams at the moment, so I will wait and tell you some more later on.

Hope you all are having a great December so far... Christmas is only 10 days away! :)

NaNoWriMo Day 10

Yes, the truth is that it is day 10 and I am far behind from where I need to be in my word count. So, instead of dwelling on that horrifying fact, I am going to tell you about my day 9.

Yesterday, I did not type one word towards my goal. All day at work, I sat in a daydream. Usually, when I'm not having to do actual work, I read other blogs, check my stats, text, or play on my phone or iPod. Yesterday, though, I hardly did any of the above. I mean, I did check Facebook and my blog stats a few times, and maybe texted a little, but for most of the day, I found busy work to do or just stared out of our front door. Matt asked me several times what was wrong, but I never really had an answer. I was just tired, I guess.

Towards the end of the work day, I decided I wanted to go see a movie. I needed to spend some time not in my world, time away from thinking about my book. Leah met up with me and we saw MegaMind. It was funny; a really cute movie. We got home around 10:45 I think. Maybe 11? Not really sure. But when I got home, I sat in my bed and opened my Mac so that I could start writing, even if only for a little while. Somehow, I ended up laying down, and as soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out.

I woke up at 2 something. My big light was still on and I will still wearing my clothes and contacts. Also, I was laying in a really weird position and my entire body felt tense.

What woke me up was the dream I had during that short period of time. I dreamt that everything I started, I couldn't finish for whatever reason; people kept coming in or tragedies were occuring or I just didn't think I could finish whatever it was. I was so frustrated.

I am pretty sure stress about finishing this book has finally gotten to me. I keep analyzing every detail I put into it and worry that it doesn't sound good or isn't interesting. I think that is what is keeping me back the most. Even though no one else is reading it, or has read it, I can not stop worrying how awful it is.

It's hard for me to just keep writing because I take anything that I do so seriously. I want to always be great at what I do and the truth is, I may not be. But even so, I set out doing this for fun and because I have always wanted to write a book. I wish I could take the advice I keep telling myself and "just write; don't worry about the details and flow of the book, you can fix it later." It's so hard though.

---

Here is a list of why I am already stressed today:
1. I have a ton of laundry that NEEDS to be done tonight so I can
2. Pack my bags for this weekend.
3. I NEED to clean out my nasty car because
4. Ash and I are leaving for North Augusta tomorrow after work.
5. We start our new Bible study tonight with our small group.
6. I have to run to Walmart for necessities.
7. I am so far behind in my word count that it's embarrassing. I need to type SOMETHING tonight.
8. And, there are some other personal things I could add to this list, but I won't.

Poor planning, Cassie. I am very disappointed.

Saturday, October 02, 2010

So let's spend the afternoon in a cold hot air balloon.

It's October 2nd, which means there is less than a month until November starts! I have been waiting on November 1st in anticipation since February and I can't believe it's almost here!

I still am not set on a plot yet. I would be happiest if I could come up with an awesome sci-fi/fantasy type novel, but in all honesty, I am not ready for that yet. My first novel may come out to be Nicholas Sparks-esque because that's the way I'm wired. I feel a tragic romance stirring in my head.

Speaking of things stirring in my head, for the past couple of weeks, I haven't been able to fall asleep like normal or stay asleep once my body finally gives in. Because of this, I took Tylenol PM a couple of nights which helped me fall asleep faster, so it helped in that aspect, but it wouldn't keep me asleep. Anyway, every time I took it, I had strange dreams with horrific plots. Seriously, they were awful; I don't even want to repeat them. I'm starting to think drug-induced sleep is not the way to go.

In lighter news...

On the way to work this morning, I saw two hot air balloons in the sky. I now know what I want for my birthday. :)
